Charge Up Operator (Norseman)

Norseman Region (OK, Scotia & Bullen) | Redpath Mining

Redpath Mining is seeking experienced Charge Up Operators to join our underground teams across the Norseman region. Working on a 14/14 or 7/7 FIFO roster, you’ll safely execute all blasting activities while contributing to a positive and safety‑focused team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out charge up duties in accordance with blast designs and site procedures
• Safely handle, transport and use explosives
• Complete charging, priming, tie-ins, firing and misfire procedures
• Conduct pre-starts, Take 5’s, JSAs and complete safety documentation
• Maintain correct signage, barricading and safe blast zones
• Clean and maintain equipment to a high standard
• Report hazards, incidents and near misses promptly
• Support continuous improvement and safe work practices
• Perform additional duties as required by Redpath

What You’ll Bring

• Underground Charge Up/Blasting experience
• WA Shotfirer’s Licence (or ability to obtain)
• Manual driver’s licence
• First Aid & CPR
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work unsupervised and follow procedures accurately
• A strong commitment to Redpath’s safety culture
